Our summer line-up is all Fan-Requested Favourites. You asked, we listened. EMPOWER Your Summer is our selection of your requests that feature unlikely heroes in bold shows.
Join us and get your “wax on” (and off) with the 1984 classic movie Karate Kid! Is there a better unlikely hero than the small, bullied, outsider kid kicking some Cobra butts AND getting the girl? We’re so glad this one was requested because we think Daniel’s “the best around!”
THE STORY: Daniel (Ralph Macchio) and his mother move from New Jersey to California. She has a wonderful new job, but Daniel quickly discovers that a dark-haired Italian boy with a Jersey accent doesn't fit into the blond surfer crowd. Daniel is bullied by the other kids until Miyagi (Pat Morita), a handyman/martial arts master, agrees to teach him karate and shows him that there is more to the martial art than fighting.
